Douglas P. Lyle is a practising cardiologist and the author of several forensic books, including Forensics for Dummies and Murder Mayhem: A Doctor Answers Medical and Forensic Questions for Mystery Writers. He regularly consults with novelists and writers for US TV crime shows, such as CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Diagnosis Murder, Cold Case, Peacemakers and 1-800-Missing. Karen T. Taylor is one of the world’s top forensic artists and author of the industry ‘bible’ Forensic Art and Illustration. A skilled fine artist, she used to create waxworks at Madame Tussauds before finding her vocation in forensics. Katherine Ramsland writes features about the criminal mind, drawing from her own experience in psychology and forensic science. The author of over 20 books on topics ranging from society’s interest in vampires to the psychology of murder, Katherine is a regular contributor to Court TV's Crime Library website and also teaches forensic psychology at DeSales University, Pennsylvania. Richard Catalani was a criminalist in various sections of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Crime Lab for about 16 years. He retired from the lab in 2001 and went into private practice. He got involved with CSI two years ago as the set technical advisor, and is now the senior technical advisor, helping create scripts and contributing story ideas and techniques.
Ian Stephen is a consultant clinical psychologist with over 30 years’ experience. He has worked inside the prison service, in hospitals and also for court on medico-legal work. Ian has acted as forensic psychology consultant for several TV crime shows and documentaries in the UK, including Cracker, Prime Suspect and A Touch of Frost. M. Lee Goff is one of the eight certified forensic entomologists in America. The forensic science chairman at Chaminade University, Hawaii, his love of bugs is only surpassed by that of surfing! Author of A Fly for the Prosecution: How Insect Evidence Helps Solve Crimes, and an FBI Academy instructor, he is at the end of a phoneline when the CSI writers have an entomology question.
